The areas of difficulty that have been experienced by developers who have pursued retail development in these areas will be discussed and solutions offered. The problems experienced in land acquisition will be identified and discussed, the associated problems with leasing and tenant coordination will be addressed, the processes and difficulties in obtaining finance, and finally appropriate design and construction of the developments
