dc.description.abstract | Developed locally in partnership with Syntell and Bytefuse, Quebit is an adaptive, data- driven artificial intelligence (AI) traffic management solution. With continuous fluctuations in traffic patterns, the timing configurations at intersections are often outdated and asynchronous, leading to reduced traffic flow and increased congestion. Quebit’s intelligent, self-learning system adapts to changing traffic patterns in real time. It’s packaged into a module, a plug & play device that can be easily installed in any controller that supports the UTMC protocol. Quebit promptly handles acute fluctuations in traffic patterns, such as those observed during load shedding, accidents and events. Within corridors, Quebit synchronises the timings between the intersections with the goal of continuously optimising traffic flow through a city-wide grid of intersections. In this talk we’ll demonstrate how Quebit performs in real-world conditions compared to other adaptive control solutions. | |
