dc.description.abstract In recent years, strategic litigation has emerged as a powerful tool for advancing human rights and promoting social justice around the world. This legal approach involves the deliberate use of legal action to bring about broader social or systemic change. In the context of Uganda, where access to quality education has been a concern, the impact of strategic litigation in advancing access to education cannot be understated. This article delves into the effectiveness of strategic litigation in promoting access to equal quality education in Uganda, with a specific focus on the 2019 landmark High Court decision in the case of Initiative for Social and Economic Rights v Attorney-General. en_US
