dc.description.abstract In this paper, we present a detailed description and illustrations of the larval stage of Polynoncus hemisphaericus (Burmeister, 1876). This larva was discovered in the region of Magallanes, Chile beneath the carcass of a guanaco. Identification was meticulously verified through the DNA barcode method. Our findings document only the second description of a Polynoncus larva, underscoring the critical need to elucidate and document the natural history of this group. en_US
