Abstract:
At the 29th biennial conference of the World Association for the
Advancement of Veterinary Parasitology (WAAVP), which took place
in Chennai, India, in August 2023, Prof Banie Penzhorn was one of
two recipients of honorary membership of the association. Profs Ivan
Horak (2001) and Tammi Krecek (2019) are the other South Africans
whose contributions to veterinary parasitology have been recognised
in this way by the WAAVP.
