Abstract

A box-like cubic structure with a pitched roof: the symmetrical northern façade gives way to irregular form to the south. A deep verandah to the north responds to the Pretoria climate. It has a low-pitched roof with flat gabled ends, very different from the forms of the so-called International Style. He also uses thickly whitewashed stock-bricks.
