The aim of this study was to investigate the possibilities of concreticising the
p_r.eschooler tale) so that it can be used in the pedotherapeutic situation,
thereby giving the preschooler the opportunity to experience the preschooler
tale more concretely. This will result in the fact that the preschooler has
sufficient understanding of the content of the tale, so that he can apply it
in such a way that it has vital meaning in his everyday existence.
When working with a preschooler in therapy the pedotherapist often
experi~nces problems in choosing the appropriate technique because the
verbal }lbilities and general development of the young child hamper therapy.
In this· study the aim was to concreticise the preschooler tale by compiling
and designing techniques which may be used successfully in pedotherapy.
The empirical study was executed with the aid of semi-structured interviews
based on an interview schedule. The opinions of experienced academics and
authorities in the field of pedotherapy were collected. It was ascertained that
there is scope for techniques to concreticise the preschooler tale in
pedotherapy.
It was found that there is use in concreticising the preschooler tale and that it
will have a positive effect on the preschooler during pedotherapy. |
