dc.description.abstract The focus of this dissertation will be on realising the potential of tourism as an economic driver in remote post-industrial or post productivism towns and understanding the barriers that may be preventing it from maximising its impact. The town of Emgwenya (formerly Waterval Boven) will be used as a case study to investigate how the existing systems can be adapted to accommodate and take advantage of tourism activity. en_US
