Biography of the veterinary parasitologist Prof Richard Karl Reinecke. The biography includes information about his education and career, scientific contributions and writings, homages and distinctions. He was born on May 7, 1924 in Johannesburg and died on October 5, 1993. He graduated in 1946 as veterinarian at Onderstepoort, University of Pretoria, South Africa. He was known for parasitology and especially in the field of nematodes.
