dc.description.abstract In the winter of 2017, a site survey was undertaken of Tell Asur, ancient Baal Hazor in the West Bank, for which this article is the full publication. Although it failed to discover a cultic site of Baal, its Byzantine finds form an important contribution to the archaeological portrait of the area in the Byzantine period. en_ZA
