Afrikaans: Samelewingstendense soos gesinsverbrokkeling, onverantwoordelike
seksuele gedrag en die baie klem wat die
massamedia op die menslike seksualiteit plaas, het die nood
aan gesinsvoorligting op skool geYntensiveer. Die TOD se
gesinsvoorligtingprogram op skool het ten doel om die
gesinslewe te verryk en die gesin te versterk. Gesinsvoorligting
is 'n bree omvattende begrip wat met die hele
mens insluitende geslagsvoorligting te doen het.
Seksualiteitsopvoeding op skool het gedurende die
sestigerjare beleid geword in die VSA. In die VSA propageer
vooraanstaande seksualiteitsopvoeders 'n neutrale seksualiteitsopvoeding waar elke leerling self moet besluit
oor wat reg en verkeerd is ten opsigte van seks. Die groot
beswaar teen seksualiteitsopvoeding in die VSA, is teen die
humanistiese benadering daarvan. Beswaardes in die RSA meen
geslagsvoorligting moet deur die ouers self gedoen word.
Deur die essensies van die TOD se gesinsvoorligtingprogram
te sinteseer met die Fundamenteel-pedagogiese bedrywigheidsessensies,
het dit duidelik geword dat die TOD se
gesinsvoorligtingprogram voldoende pedagogies begrond is.
Die Fundamentele pedagogiek gee duidelike riglyne vir 'n
gesinsvoorligtingpraktyk op skool wat nagevolg behoort te
word om te verseker dat gesinsvoorligting pedagogies
verantwoordbaar aangebied word. 'n Belangrike voorwaarde
waaraan gesinsvoorligting op skool moet voldoen, is dat dit
aangebied word in die lig van die eise van behoorlikheid
soos vervat in die lewensopvatting van die gemeenskap wat
die skool bedien.
Omdat alle onderwysers direk of indirek by gesins- en
geslagsvoorligting op skool betrokke is, behoort alle
onderwysstudente opleiding in gesinsvoorligting te ontvang. |

English: The need for family education at school has been
intensified by certain tendencies in society, like the
breaking up of families, irresponsible sexual behaviour and
the mass media over-accentuating human sexuality.
The Family Education Programme of the TED aims at enriching
family life and strengthening family bonds. Family
Education is a comprehensive concept which deals with the
human being as a whole. This includes sexual education.
Sexual Education at school in the USA became policy in the
sixties. Well-known sexual educators propagate a neutral sexual education: the pupil should decide between right
and wrong. Objection against sexual education in the USA is
mostly because of its humanistic approach. Those in the RSA
who object, feel that sexual education is the privilege of
the parents.
The Family Education Programme of the TED can be accounted
for pedagogically by synthesizing its essentials with the
Fundamental Pedagogical Activity essences.
The Fundamental Pedagogics gives clear directives for
practical family education at school. An important
condition family education should meet, is that it should
be presented according to the requirements of propriety set
by the society which serves the school. These requirements
are based on the society's philosophy of life. This ensures
a pedagogically accountable presentation.
As all teachers are directly or indirectly involved in
family education, it is essential that all students of
education receive instruction in Family Education. |
