wat as intervensietegniek gebruik is. Betekenisvolle verskille
positiewe houdings, verder versterk is.
indien opleidingstegnieke aangepas word by die behoeftes
soos in die houdingstudie geidentifiseer.
The research consists of a theoretical explanation regarding
industrial organizational structures, systems and functions,
the development of a training course with regard to the
Employee Assistance Program and the measurement of the attitudes
of foremen towards twenty-four disabilities.
The results of the attitude-survey indicated negative attitudes
towards AIDS and negatively inclined attitudes towards
venereal diseases and mental illnesses. These attitudes remained
the same after the presentation of the training course,
used as intervention technique. Significant differences in
attitudes were measured after training, towards alcoholism,
ex-convict and hunchback, thereby indicating that existing
positive attitudes were further reinforced.
The training course is considered appropriate for the training
of supervisors in the use of the Employee Assistance Program
and a useful instrument which can contribute towards the
changing of attitudes, providing that training techniques are
adapted to the needs identified in the attitude survey.
