Abstract:
In March 2016, the international initiative Open Access 2020 (OA2020, www.oa2020.org) was launched. This initiative for the large-scale transformation of the scholarly publishing system from a subscription to an open access business model emerged from the Berlin 12 Open Access Conference (December 2015, Berlin, www.berlin12.org) with some hundred attendees from 19 countries. OA2020 aims at making Open Access the default in scholarly publishing.
