This photo-album belonged to Jacob Johannes Mostert of the farm Kromdraai, in the Krugersdorp district. He was captured on 16 July 1901 at Krugersdorp, and sent to Bermuda as a prisoner of war (no.21236). The photographs show an interesting view in the daily life of the Boer prisoners of war on the islands of Burt, Darrel and Bermuda.
