This work, similar to his previous figures of women sitting on a rock, depicted with incomplete arms, was probably also inspired by Wagner’s opera of the three water nymphs or Rhine maidens. This plaster is in the possession of the Renzo Vignali Artistic Foundry in Pretoria.
