dc.description Senator Andries Daniel Wynand Wolmarans (1857 - 1928) was a prominent politician in the ZAR government. In 1900 he was a member of the Special Boer Deputation to Europe and the United States of America to try and muster support for the Boer War effort against Britain. After the war he became involved in a quest for a theological school for the Netherdutch Reformed Church of Africa and subsequently a founding member of the University of Pretoria in 1908. en_ZA
