This sub-spherical bowl from Mapungubwe has five deeply incised, crosshatched diamond decorations on the shoulder. The vessel has a smooth finish with black burnish on the exterior. the base is rough in texture as a result of domestic use. There is a squared perforation on the shoulder of the bowl as a result of pitch fork striking. |
