dc.description |
The Boxer is one of Fanie Eloff’s most famous works. It was first exhibited in 1912 at the 130th Salon d'Automne exhibition, at the Grand Palais des Champs-Elysees in Paris . In 1924, Eloff competed in the Summer Olympics in Paris in the mixed-sculpture category, of which the Boxer was one of his two entries . Eloff later donated this large figure to the Library of the University of Pretoria. |
