dc.description This round white plate with a thick blue-green glaze is decorated with circle and diamond-motifs on the cavetto. In the centre is a crown and stork with the inscription “Rozenburg, Prinses Juliana Aardewerk”. The plate has a sunken glazed base marked with a crowned stork and the inscription “Rosenburg Den Haag”. In 1910 a struggling N.V. Haagsche Plateelfabriek Rozenburg in the Hague started an exclusive ceramic series called Prinses Juliana Aardewerk to try to boost sales since commemorative ceramics were becoming increasingly popular. This plate was made as an advertising plate for the shop in The Hague that was selling Juliana-ware. en_ZA
