dc.description |
By activating new symbols, Bettie succeeded further in producing simpler
compositions with unusual and heterogeneous spiritual perspectives. These
works give her view of aspects of certain elements of nature and of the
universe. Juxtaposed on this clam-like shape are manifold symbols such as
plants leaves, pods, stars, crosses and amorphous shapes. |
