dc.description |
The shields of this period reflect Bettie’s view of universal mystic symbolism. The
circle in the centre glows magically, giving expression to her pre-occupation with
light. The three-dimensional effect of the acrylic paint forms an integral part of
the object of the artwork and its simplification. |
