dc.description |
In this pastel self-portrait one can clearly see how the young artist searches for
structure in her own countenance. Emphasis of line and simplification of form
begins to dominate. These types of drawings were the forerunners of the
dramatic simplifications to come and which eventually would lead to figurative
abstraction. |
