This Post-Impressionist-Expressionist still-life typifies the influence of Madame
Stradiot-Bougnet - the simplification of the objects depicted - plates, bottle and
fruit - becomes more and more expressionistic. Dramatic simplification is
especially evident in the representation of the cloth on which the still-life is
placed. |
