Philosophical, general, physiographical, climatological,
biotic and plant ecological aspects as well as the
availability of browse and the habitat preferences of the
larger animals were investigated to serve as a basis for
future wildlife management in the Atherstone Nature Reserve.
General guidelines as well as guidelines for veld and game
management are suggested. A monitoring program and the
practical application of adaptive management are explained.
Filosofiese, algemene, fisiografiese, klirnatologiese,
biotiese en plantekologiese aspekte sowel as die
beskikbaarheid van blaarmateriaal en die habitatsvoorkeure
van grater diersoorte is as basis vir toekomstige natuurlewebestuur
