A brief review of a portion of the literature on Bartonella, Grahamella and Eperythrozoon is given. A new species of blood parasite of sheep is described for which the name Eperythrozoon ovis is proposed. The symptomatology of the disease produced by Ep. Ovis is detailed. The tentative proposal is made to unite the four genera Anaplasma, Grahamella, Bartonella and Eperythrozoon into one family the Anaplasmidae. |
