Abstract:
Prof Neitz was a world-renowned protozoologist who studied the pathogenic protozoa causing diseases of domestic and wild animals in Southern Africa. He was appointed at Onderstepoort in the section of protozoology and virology in 1930. He retired as head of the section of virology in 1971 at the age of 65 years.
