Q-Photo FujiFilm Student Photographic Collection
This collection resulted from a project that originated / is the brain child of of the University of Pretoria Archives with the generous sponsorship of Q-Photo and Fujifilm. Students have the opportunity to attend photographic workshops presented by professional photographers. FujiFilm and Q-Photo provide free film or CD and development and from the photographic entries submitted, a selection of photographs is added to the “Q-Photo and Fujifilm Photo Collection” which is preserved in the UP Archives.
The aims of this project are to:
- augment the photographic collection of the University of Pretoria Archives
- add a specifically student-centred dimension to this collection, particularly in view of the forthcoming University Centenary celebrations (1908-2008)
- offer UP students the opportunity to improve their photographic skills, and the additional bonus for students to win wonderful prizes.
