Abstract:
Post-conflict reconstruction in Africa has received a
great deal of attention from scholars and policy-makers
over the past decade, both because of the proportionally
large number of conflicts on the continent, and because
of the lessons learned from them about the role of democratisation
in post-conflict reconstruction, the importance
of civil society and international organisations in socioeconomic
restructuring, and how different forms of
post-conflict justice impact on social reconciliation.
