Abstract:
There were a few developments on the legislative front during 2009. They addressed long-outstanding issues in criminal procedure (such as the setting of bail amounts and the prosecution of diplomats who commit crimes in foreign countries) and brought certainty regarding the official name changes of the High Courts (for more detail, see the chapter on Civil Procedure and Constitutional Procedure and Jurisdiction).
