The symmetrical convergence, axial Y-plan and the hierarchical articulation attest once again to Eaton's early classical design approach. Similar to Wright, a triangular geometry is used to organize the plan – the Sundt house (1941) comes to mind. Wright had used diagonal forms during the middle of his career – especially using a thirty degree angle as basis for planning grids. The Hanna House (1937) is a good example of the application of the thirty-degree angle to house a plan. Years later Marcel Breuer would use the Y-plan for public buildings such as the UNESCO Headquarters, Paris, 1953.
