dc.description.abstract Part 2 deals less with the composition and the practical use of the successful dip but more in the way the effects of the dip are exerted both upon the animal economy and the tick itself. Schedule A: Results of research looking at the ability of an animal to kill ticks place upon it with the number of dippings the animal receives Schedule B: A chart showing that the length of time elapsing since the last dipping determines the ability of an habituated animal to kill ticks which may become attached to it; Schedule C: A chart with observations to show that in habituated animals the effect on ticks of a given dipping is more rapid then in non-habituated animals; Schedule D: A chart of observations showing the retardation of the infective process in the habituated animal; Schedule E: Estimations of the amount of Arsenic retained by the hair and hide of animals for varying periods after dipping; Schedule F: A chart to show the elimination of arsenic by the kidneys at varying periods after dipping. en
