dc.description.abstract This study explores the relationship between Big Data Analytics Capabilities (BDAC) and innovation within South African organisations, with a focus on the potential mediating role of dynamic capabilities (DC). It builds upon the work of Ciampi et al. (2021), who investigated the impact of BDAC on Business Model Innovation (BMI) in UK-based companies. This research adapts their framework to a South African context. The findings confirm that, similar to the original study, there is a direct positive relationship between BDAC and innovation. Moreover, dynamic capabilities are found to significantly mediate this relationship, thus enhancing the impact of BDAC on organisational innovation. These results contribute to the broader understanding of how organisations can leverage big data analytics capabilities with the facilitation of dynamic capabilities to drive innovation, specifically in emerging markets. en_US
