dc.description.abstract	We present an overview of some image segmentation techniques, employed to extract regions of interest. Examples, with comparisons, are presented for Iterative Selection, Balanced Histogram, Otsu’s method, Wellner algorithm, Integral Image algorithm, Gaussian mixtures and Iterated Conditional Modes.	en_US
