Abstract:
This project looks at the current production facilities at SAAB EDS ZA using facility layout techniques and a lean manufacturing technique called value stream mapping. After analysis is done alternative layouts are designed for consolidating the production plant to a new building so that productivity is increased and materials handling decreased.
