dc.description.abstract COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: Originated from cattle which accompanied Berber migrants from southern Morocco. Centre of development of present day N'Dama is central Guinea, reared by the Fulani population since they came from the Sahara in 1534. en

Found in the belt parallel to the equator from Atlantic coast in Senegal and Guinea to the Borgou district in northern Dahomey. Small humpless cattle with lyre shaped horns in cows and crescent shaped horns in the bulls. Good resistance to trypanosomiasis. en
